Job summary

Mondelēz International in Belgium is seeking a Reliability Engineer to drive plant equipment reliability, improve maintenance strategies, and ensure continuous operation across facilities to support SQCDSM metrics. You will lead preventive and predictive maintenance, coach teams, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver safe, compliant, and efficient operations while applying IL6S principles.

This role requires a strong RCM/FMECA/RCA foundation and hands-on CMMS proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in Elektromechanica, Werktuigbouwkunde, Industriële Wetenschappen or equivalent by relevant experience.
• Fluent Dutch and English.
• Experience in reliability-centered maintenance and data-driven maintenance strategies.
• CMMS experience, SAP PM.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate building and facilities maintenance programs and budget management.
• Implement IL6S Lean 6 Sigma methods to reduce breakdowns and improve maintenance efficiency.
• Coach operating teams through training on maintenance and reliability practices.
• Build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships and align priorities to company goals.

How You Will Contribute

You will:

• Co-ordinate the execution of Building Maintenance program, Facilities maintenance program, Capex management & OPEX (M&R) budgets, site Technology & Automation maintenance, Asset & Master data management, Service providers/ OEM-original equipment mfg. contracts & SLA-site level agreement adherence, adherence to Manufacturing standards, Governance, Compliance requirements are adhered to.
• Implement IL6S-Integrated Lean 6 sigma ways of working: delivering zero breakdowns via preventive/predictive maintenance strategies and technical mastery of maintenance and operation teams; PM (Progressive Maintenance) Pillar, and CBM (condition based monitoring), Visual controls & tools Mgmt., Loss elimination, Lubrication mgmt. & Calibration of equipment(s) etc.
• Role model Values and principles through effective coaching, and building capability of Operating teams via specific training on routine maintenance, equipment breakdown and CIL techniques
• Interface with key stakeholders internally & externally to develop and maintain effective relationships, align priorities in order to deliver the company objectives, and goals.

• Advanced knowledge (including AM-Autonomous Maintenance Step 4 systems & Progressive Maintenance Step 3) & skill to maintain the dedicated equipment(s) at basic conditions independently, including the execution of AM & PM (BD-Breakdown maintenance, planned maintenance) standards on dedicated equipment(s) and TPM - Phase 3 & 4 tools problem solving tools.
• The capability to lead a Role for the Line. Qualify and coach the next level work process owners and drive the common opportunity areas across the line in PDCA-Plan Do Check Adjust approach.

Als Reliability Engineer verhoog je de betrouwbaarheid, beschikbaarheid en levensduur van technische installaties door prestaties te analyseren, onderhoudsstrategieën te optimaliseren en verbeteringsprojecten te initiëren. Deze functie ondersteunt de onderhouds- en productieorganisatie met datagestuurde inzichten en structurele oplossingen voor storingreductie.

• Analyseren van storingsdata, trends en risico's.
• Identificeren van kritische activa en prioriteiten.
• Formuleren van acties om de MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) te verhogen en ongeplande stilstand te verminderen.
• Implementeren en faciliteren van RCA-methodologieën (Root Cause Analysis), zoals 5x Waarom, Visgraatdiagram en Apollo.
• Oorzaken vertalen naar duurzame technische en organisatorische maatregelen.
• Opvolgen van implementatie en effectiviteit van de genomen maatregelen.
• Ontwikkelen en optimaliseren van onderhoudsconcepten (o.a. RCM, FMECA, PM-optimalisatie).
• Bepalen van inspectie- en onderhoudsintervallen op basis van risico en data.
• Integreren van predictieve technieken (zoals trillingsanalyse, thermografie, olieanalyse).
• Zorgen voor correcte en complete asset- en storingsdata in het CMMS (bijv. SAP PM).
• Verbeteren van datakwaliteit en rapportagestructuren.
• Initiëren en leiden van betrouwbaarheidsprojecten.
• Ondersteunen van investeringsprojecten met levenscyclusanalyses.
• Evalueren en implementeren van nieuwe technologieën en monitoringstools.
• Integreren van veiligheids- en milieuaspecten in analyses en aanbevelingen.
• Ondersteunen van audits, risicoanalyses en wettelijke vereisten.

Ervaring

• Opleiding & Ervaring: Bachelor of Master in Elektromechanica, Werktuigbouwkunde, Industriële Wetenschappen of gelijkwaardig door relevante ervaring.
• Talenkennis: Nederlands - Engels (vloeiend).
• Expertisegebied: Elektromechanica, mechanica, automatisering of procesinstallaties.
• Betrouwbaarheidsmethodologieën: Expert in RCM (Reliability Centered Maintenance), FMECA (Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis), RCA (Root Cause Analysis) en andere betrouwbaarheidsmethodologieën.
• Conditiemonitoring: Kennis van conditiemonitoring technieken.
• CMMS-systemen: Ervaring met CMMS-systemen (bijv. SAP PM).
• Data-analyse: Basiskennis van statistiek en data-analyse.
• Analytische vaardigheden: Analytisch en conceptueel denkvermogen.
• Communicatie: Overtuigingskracht en sterke communicatieve vaardigheden.
• Projectmanagement: Ervaring met projectmanagement en stakeholdermanagement.
