Alter Domus is seeking a senior compliance professional to lead RC/MLRO activities in Luxembourg, overseeing AML/CTF compliance for diversified funds and acting as the primary regulator liaison.

You will coordinate with service providers, supervise AML reporting, and support onboarding of new mandates while applying a risk-based regulatory approach across domestic and international structures. This role emphasizes leadership, governance, and stakeholder engagement within a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• Professional qualification in Compliance and/or AML is advantageous.
• At least 6+ years' experience in a fund compliance environment.
• Extensive technical knowledge of applicable regulations and regulators.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships with colleagues and third parties.
• Ability to influence and interact with staff at all levels.

• Lead annual AML due diligence of service providers.
• Maintain and develop template documentation and policies.
• Lead RC/MLRO team and supervise AML reports and policies.
• Oversee onboarding of new mandates and participate in service proposals.
• Interpret regulatory guidelines and apply risk-based approach.
• Understand legal entity structures domestically and internationally.
• Communicate effectively with authorized management and attend Board meetings.

YOUR FUTURE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ability to manage a portfolio of diversified alternative funds (SIF, RAIF, SCSp/SCS…) in the sectors of private equity, real estate, debt essentially;
• Meet the qualifications set by CSSF in the FAQ of November 2019 to act as an RC in Luxembourg;
• Ensure compliance of the Funds with Luxembourg Anti-money Laundering and Counter Terrorist Financing (“AML/CTF'). Be the single point of contact of CSSF and AED for any RC duties such as AML reports, AML surveys or ad hoc requests from the regulator;
• Coordinate with all teams involved and external service providers where applicable (AIFM, Investment Advisor, Transfer Agent, Depositary Bank…);
• Perform the annual AML due diligence of service providers as part of the oversight control;
• Maintain the library of template documentation required to perform the service, and where necessary support writing of bespoke policies with clients;
• Lead the team of RC/MLRO Support Officer and supervise the preparation AML reports, AML policies and any deliverables resulting from the RC mandate;
• Onboarding of any new mandates and be involved in the service proposal process.
• Familiarity with AML/CTF legislation/directives and Luxembourg market practice for Funds;
• Experience in managing a team to coordinate the preparation of deliverables and KPI’s management;
• Ability to interpret regulatory guidelines and apply a risk-based approach;
• Strong knowledge of legal entity structures both domestic and international;
• Proactive attitude, tact, ability to communicate with authorized management and attend Board meetings.

YOUR PROFILE

• A professional/relevant qualification in Compliance and/or AML would be advantageous;
• At least 6+ years' experience in a fund compliance environment;
• Extensive technical knowledge with a comprehensive understanding of applicable regulations and regulators;
• Excellent interpersonal skills are required to develop and maintain close working relationships with colleagues and third parties;
• Able to influence and deal comfortably with staff at all levels.
