SKF Group is seeking an R&D Design and Process Engineer in Laser Metal Deposition to drive current and future LMD projects, including SKF Infinium. You will shape new deposition technologies from prototype to industrialization, working hands-on with LMD machines to create bearings for a sustainable future.

You will participate in cross-functional projects, develop scalable designs, validate processes and collaborate with global teams to transfer technology across locations.

Qualifications

• Specialization or strong interest in laser processes (laser cladding, laser welding, laser hardening, laser metal deposition or related).
• Broad knowledge of manufacturing processes and Parametric CAD design.
• Knowledge of quality methods (8D, Six Sigma, FMEA, etc.) is a plus.
• Strong teamwork, proactive attitude and leadership potential.
• Analytical, systematic and independent working style.
• Good communication/presentation skills and fluent English.

Responsabilités

• Develop process drawings for stable manufacturing flow.
• Implement processes with machine experts, welding engineers and operations team.
• Develop and maintain Infinium bearings design processes in the Centre of Excellence.
• Collaborate with SKF network to create a scalable design tool for globalization.
• Hands-on validation on Laser Metal Deposition machines.
