Job summary

Imec in Belgium offers a Master internship focused on Colloidal Quantum-Dot Photodiodes for Compressed Spectral Sensing. You will work on integrated photodiodes and computational sensing within a multidisciplinary research team.

The project includes device modeling (TCAD/TMM), fabrication of cQD thin films, and spectral reconstruction algorithms, under the guidance of KU Leuven promoter Jan Genoe and collaborating researchers. English proficiency is essential for effective communication.

Qualifications

• A background in semiconductor devices, photonics, electrical engineering or materials science is desirable.
• Experience with TCAD, optical simulation, Python or MATLAB is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Model the device physics (e.g. TCAD, TMM) of this optoelectronic device.
• Fabricate thin film photodiode stacks based on cQD.
• Characterize cQD photodiodes electrically and optically.
• Investigate spectral reconstruction algorithms.
