Safran Aircraft Engine Services Brussels is seeking a Quality Engineer to strengthen its Quality Team at Brussels Airport (Zaventem). The role focuses on certification, audits, and continuous improvement of quality processes in the MRO of LEAP engines.

You will cooperate across departments, prepare documentation for authorities, and drive corrective actions. Ideal candidates have a technical degree, fluency in Dutch, French and English, and a hands-on, structured approach to quality and safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field, or equivalent through experience.
• Fluent in Dutch, French and English.
• Analytically and editorially minded.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and submit certification files to national authorities and certification bodies.
• Analyze quality standards, norms, customer specifications, contracts and aviation regulations; adapt procedures.
• Organize and supervise external audits of customers, authorities and certification bodies; handle findings.
• Validate suppliers and subcontractors; monitor quality of delivered products and services.
• Support process owners in dealing with quality deviations using QMS tools and root-cause analysis.
• Propose actions to improve efficiency of business processes.
• Provide training and presentations on quality topics to colleagues.
• Conduct internal quality audits and report findings; follow up corrective actions.

To strengthen our Quality Team we are looking for a: QUALITY ENGINEER

Safran Aircraft Engine Services Brussels is a subsidiary of Safran Aircraft Engines, based at Brussels Airport (Zaventem & Steenokkerzeel, Belgium), specialized in the inspection, maintenance and repair (MRO) of the advanced LEAP jet engines that power the latest generation of the Airbus A320NEO & Boeing B737MAX narrow body families. The company is a key player in the integrated CFM international MRO network. With more than 75 years of experience, and up to 20 international Part 145 certifications (EASA/ FAA/ CAAC/ …), Safran Aircraft Engine Services Brussels is recognized as a worldwide center of expertise in the air transport industry. Your role:

• You prepare and submit certification files to national authorities and certification bodies.
• You analyze quality standards, norms, customer specifications, contracts and aviation regulations and adapt internal procedures or manuals, or draft new procedures.
• You organize and supervise external audits of customers, authorities and certification organisations and handle the findings.
• You are part of the validation process of suppliers and subcontractors and monitor the process regarding the quality of the delivered products and services.
• You support the owners of the processes in dealing with quality deviations/findings, using quality basic techniques.
• You propose actions to improve the efficiency of the business processes.
• You prepare presentations and provide training to colleagues on quality topics.
• You participate in multidisciplinary projects.
• You conduct internal quality audits, provide reporting of findings and follow up on corrective actions.
• You assist in the statistical analysis of data and its reporting.
• You manage Non-Conformities at the Quality Level:
• Report any non-compliance and/or non-application of quality rules to management.
• Record and monitor quality deviations identified in products and processes, in accordance with the company's quality system.
• Analyze and catalog quality deviations relating to products and processes in order to statistically determine areas for improvement within the company.
• Raise awareness and provide guidance to all staff regarding quality management to ensure product compliance and the effective operation of company processes.
• Provide methodological support to management and/or process owners when addressing quality deviations in their area (using QMS tools).
• Independently validate the root causes of quality deviations as defined by process owners.
• Independently verify the effectiveness of corrective and remedial actions resulting from quality deviations.

Your profile:

• You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field, or equivalent through experience.
• You are fluent in Dutch, French and English.
• You are analytically and editorially minded.
• You are creative in finding solutions within the established framework.
• You can work independently and are committed to develop your knowledge through self-study and research.
• You are open minded, you work in a structured way and you can motivate people with regards to the quality and safety policy of the company.
• Additional qualifications that may help you in this role (but not a must have) include:
• Experience in quality and safety management in aviation
• Knowledge of standards and guidelines from national and international aviation authorities (EN9110, EASA part 145, etc)
• Knowledge of quality management systems
• Knowledge of aircraft engines, metrology
• Knowledge of process management
• Knowledge and ability to apply quality techniques and methodologies, such as problem solving techniques (8D, Ishikawa, flow charts, , ...), audit techniques.
