Job summary

Kidde Global Solutions is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our R&D team in Gdańsk, Poland, with relocation support provided. You will validate security devices and peripherals, focusing on functional correctness, robustness and real-world reliability across wired and wireless portfolios.

You will collaborate with R&D, product management and compliance teams, translating requirements into effective test scenarios and reporting defects with thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Electronics or related field.
• Experience in Quality Assurance for hardware, embedded, or electromechanical products.
• Hands-on device-level testing in lab and/or field environments.
• Ability to translate product requirements into test scenarios.
• Strong attention to edge cases and thorough documentation.

Responsibilities

• Validate functional behavior of security devices.
• Validate device behavior across normal operation, faults, power-up, reset and recovery.
• Verify battery performance and power consumption profiles.
• Perform environmental and robustness testing.
• Support EN 50131 compliance through structured test evidence.
• Create and maintain test plans, test reports and defect documentation.
• Collaborate daily with R&D engineers, product management and compliance teams.

Quality Assurance Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our R&D organization and validate security sensors and peripheral devices across both wired and wireless portfolios. In this role, you will focus on ensuring functional correctness, robustness, and real-world reliability of detection and signaling devices used in professional security systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Validate functional behavior of security devices
• Validate device behavior across normal operation, fault conditions, power-up, reset, recovery scenarios
• Verify battery performance and power consumption profiles
• Perform environmental and robustness testing
• Support compliance readiness for EN 50131 through structured test evidence
• Create and maintain test plans, test reports, and defect documentation
• Collaborate daily with R&D engineers, product management, and compliance teams

Required Profile

• Engineering degree in Electronics or related technical field
• Experience in Quality Assurance domain
• Experience in Quality Assurance for hardware, embedded, or electromechanical products
• Hands-on experience with device-level testing in lab and/or field environments
• Ability to translate product and system requirements into effective test scenarios
• Strong attention to physical, behavioral, and usability edge cases
• Knowledge of QA processes, methods and tools and ability to use them in practice
• Analytical, data-driven approach to testing and reporting
• Clear communication and documentation skills
• Good command of English language (in writing and speech)

Additional Qualifications

• Test automation skills using Python
• ISTQB certificate
• Experience in Attlasian toolchain usage
• Experience with EN 50131 or similar standards
• Experience in intrusion, detection or access domain
