Brainbridge IT Staffing seeks a Senior Python Developer to architect, develop, and maintain resilient software solutions. You will join a Chapter Development community, collaborating across technology stacks and with stakeholders to design robust backend services using Python.

Qualifications

• IT/tech-related degree required (bachelor’s or master’s).
• 6+ years of development experience with 3+ years in Python.
• Strong understanding of IT security in critical infrastructure contexts.
• Proficiency in Python backend services (FastAPI or similar).
• Experience with data validation (Pydantic) and AsyncIO.
• Experience with SQL databases (MSSQL, PostgreSQL).
• Experience with RabbitMQ and event-driven architectures.
• Knowledge of Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Azure cloud preferred; NoSQL experience a plus.
• Excellent communication and collaboration in an agile environment.

As a Senior Python Developer, you will be instrumental in architecting, developing, and maintaining resilient software solutions essential to the core business activities. You will work hand-in-hand with multidisciplinary teams to deliver reliable, high-performing applications while fostering the continuous enhancement of technical standards.

You will join the Group’s Chapter Development community, an environment that brings together developers from across the organization, collaborating on a variety of technology stacks.

Your main assignment will center around the internal monitoring platform, which is dedicated to monitoring and maintaining application health. The internal monitoring facilitates the implementation and management of sophisticated synthetic and log checks for live applications, ensuring timely information about their operational status and coordinating swift notification to relevant personnel whenever intervention is warranted.

At the heart the platform lie the monitoring and alerting engines, both developed in Python, alongside all associated monitoring scripts. Your skills and experience will be pivotal to the ongoing evolution and reliability of this solution.

• Implement best practices for code quality, testing, and deployment (CI/CD).
• Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues.
• Work with DevOps and data engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and performance.

Requirements:

Required Skills & Experience:

• IT/tech-related academic degree (bachelor’s or master’s degree.
• 6+ years of experience in Development.
• 3+ years of experience using Python.
• Strong understanding of IT security requirements and their implementation ideally in the context of critical infrastructure
• Proficiency in Python for backend services, preferably with FastAPI or similar frameworks.
• Proficiency with data validation lib as Pydantic.
• Experience with AsyncIO.
• Experience in SQL.
• Experience with databases like MSSQL, PostgreSQL.
• Experience with RabbitMQ.
• Strong understanding of service-based architectures and event-driven systems
• Solid conceptual knowledge of software design patterns, scalability, and continuous integration practices
• Knowledge of test automation frameworks (e.g Selenium)
• Solid understanding of software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to mentor and provide technical leadership.
• Experience working in agile environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with Azure cloud is a plus.
• Experience in NoSQL solutions is a plus.
• Ability to work with legacy code and participate to refactoring initiative.
• Familiarity with containerization using Docker and deployment pipelines in a CI/CD environment is a plus.
• Good level of Dutch and/or French and English is required, German is a plus.
