Pauwels Consulting is assisting a key energy sector client in Brussels to recruit a Software Engineer for AI-centric applications. You will design, implement, and improve production-quality solutions using LLMs, RAG, and agentic workflows to support sustainable energy infrastructure.

Join a collaborative team, develop backend services and APIs, optimize retrieval pipelines, and ensure robust testing, observability, and security-conscious data handling.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend or full‑stack software engineering experience.
• At least 1 year integrating LLMs or Generative AI into apps.
• Strong Python programming skills.

Responsabilités

• Design and implement AI-powered applications using LLMs, RAG, and agentic workflows.
• Build backend services, APIs, and integrations for AI-centric software.
• Optimize retrieval pipelines with embeddings, vector search, and reranking.
• Develop reliable workflows using LLM APIs and AI orchestration frameworks.
• Implement testing, monitoring, and observability for AI applications.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define safe tool patterns and human-in-the-loop approvals.
