Role Overview:

As a Planning Engineer based in Mumbai and reporting to the Chief Project Manager, you will be well-versed in construction project sequencing and proficient in utilizing Primavera planning tools. Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining project schedules, coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure timely execution, analyzing project sequences for optimization, monitoring progress, identifying potential delays, and providing strategic recommendations to mitigate schedule impacts. You will also handle submission of contractual letters to Contractors with Extension of Time claims using Primavera Planning Tool.

On a typical day you will:

1. Prepare the Baseline program with resource loading in Primavera P6 (Oracle Primavera Cloud experience is an advantage).
2. Assist the project team in developing and maintaining periodic status reports to inform management about project progress.
3. Maintain the project logs regularly.
4. Prepare and update resource forecasts for the year.
5. Interact with project team and managers to understand scope, update detailed schedules, cost information, and identify variances from the original plan.
6. Analyze critical path and constraints to assess the impact of changes and recommend work-arounds.
7. Manage risks affecting project schedules and interfaces.
8. Understand contract terms and issue delay letters to contractors accordingly.
9. Prepare and submit EOT (Extension of Time) claims.
10. Keep records of project updates for the program.
11. Provide miscellaneous support to the site team.

What You Will Need to be Successful:

• Minimum 5-6 years of experience in construction planning for building projects.
• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
• Proficiency in Primavera (Oracle Primavera Cloud experience is an advantage) and Microsoft Office applications.
• Additional advantage: PMP / PMI-SP / CIOB certification.
• Ability to multitask, work effectively in a team, be self-motivated, and demonstrate long-term commitment.
