Pauwels Consulting is seeking a Project Manager to lead end-to-end ICT projects within the public sector, including data platform modernizations and new digital solutions. The role requires coordinating with business stakeholders, ICT teams, and external vendors, while applying PRINCE2/PMBOK methodologies.

3+ years in infrastructure or software projects, Dutch (C2) proficiency, and experience with data tools are preferred.

Our client, a prominent organization in the public sector, is looking for a project manager to strengthen their data and digitalization team. This professional oversees end-to-end ICT projects, ranging from data platform modernizations to the implementation of new digital solutions within a complex organizational landscape.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project plans while monitoring scope, timing, budget, risks, and dependencies.
• Coordinate collaboration between business stakeholders, internal ICT teams, and external vendors.
• Facilitate decision‑making processes and escalated critical issues to steering committees when necessary.
• Provide transparent reporting on project status, risks, and quality to program management.
• Support the business in achieving strategic objectives through data‑driven initiatives and process optimization.
• Apply standardized project management methodologies to ensure professional and consistent delivery.

Requirements

• 3+ years experience as a project manager in infrastructure or software development projects.
• You bring a proven track record in complex organizational environments and the public sector.
• You possess professional experience in managing external vendors and integration partners.
• You have expertise in project management methodologies such as Prince2 or PMBok.
• You're experienced with data tools including Cognos, Microsoft Fabric, and Microsoft Purview or data governance.
• You possess strong skills in management reporting and steering committee facilitation.
• You are proactive and solution-oriented.
• You are fluent in Dutch with a C2 level.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with data, cloud, or digitalization trajectories.
• Knowledge of Jira, Planner Premium, and MS Project.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and Power BI.
• Experience with risk management and issue management techniques.
