Tractebel, part of the ENGIE Group, seeks a Project Manager & Business Development Engineer to lead high‑voltage infrastructure projects and drive commercial growth. You will manage multidisciplinary teams, oversee budgets, and develop client relationships across Belgium and international ventures.

You will contribute to technical definitions, prepare proposals, and coordinate construction and commissioning while aligning with HSE and contractual obligations.

Qualifications

• Industrial or Civil Engineer, or Master’s degree in Electromechanics or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in T&D technical project management.
• 2–3 years of experience in T&D business development: prospecting, networking, participation in client events, and client portfolio development.
• Knowledge of European TSO technical standards is an asset.
• Leadership, customer orientation, entrepreneurial mindset, and negotiation skills.

Responsabilités

• Manage HV and MV electrical infrastructure projects from studies and construction supervision through commissioning on behalf of clients (grid operators, industrial customers, project developers).
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensure compliance with cost, schedule, quality, safety, and performance objectives.
• Manage risks, reporting, and contractual matters.
• Monitor the financial performance of assigned projects; prepare and follow up cost, revenue, and margin forecasts; contribute to project profitability from proposal stage.
• Define technical solutions and contribute to the preparation of technical specifications and the evaluation of supplier and contractor offers; contribute to CAPEX estimates and project planning.
• Coordinate construction and commissioning activities with technical teams; ensure compliance with HSE requirements and monitor corrective actions.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities; develop and expand client portfolios; participate in client events and present Tractebel services; coordinate preparation of technical and commercial proposals; participate in client meetings and clarifications; contribute to growth strategy of T&D activities.
• Act as the primary client contact; build trusted relationships and identify new opportunities; manage stakeholders.

As part of the growth of its Transmission & Distribution activities in Belgium and internationally, Tractebel is seeking an experienced Project Manager capable of leading electrical infrastructure projects while actively contributing to business development and proposal preparation. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team specialized in high-voltage substations, power lines, grid connections, industrial installations, and energy transition projects.

Your key responsibilities

Project Management

• Manage HV and MV electrical infrastructure projects from studies and construction supervision through commissioning on behalf of clients (grid operators, industrial customers, project developers).
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams.

Financial Management

• Monitorthe financial performance of assigned projects.
• Prepare and follow up cost, revenue, and margin forecasts.
• Contribute to project profitability optimization from the proposal stage.

Technical Support and Engineering

• Participatein defining technical solutions.
• Contribute to the preparation of technical specifications and the evaluation of supplier and contractor offers on behalf of clients, with the support of technical experts.
• Contribute to CAPEX estimates and project planning.

Construction and Commissioning Management on Behalf of Clients

• Coordinate construction and commissioning activities with technical teams.
• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements andmonitorcorrective actions.

Business Development and Proposals

• Identifyand develop new business opportunities.
• Develop and expand client portfolios.
• Participatein client events and present Tractebel services.
• Identifyadditionalopportunities within ongoing projects.

Education
