Jobbeschreibung

Your Work Context

As a Building Project Manager, you are at the helm of inspiring construction projects: from the Defense headquarters to a modern hospital in Charleroi, to the new VRT building in Brussels. As the financial and commercial coordinator, you ensure that your project is completed on time and accurately.

Your Role

A Project Manager coordinates, has strong financial skills, and a commercial mindset. As a Project Manager, you are responsible for the technical, administrative, and budgetary organization of a construction project. You oversee the planning and coordination of the project to ensure everything runs according to expectations. You maintain a comprehensive overview of your site: managing finances, maintaining relationships with external parties, and monitoring operational progress on-site. You primarily work on-site, but a workspace is also provided for you at the headquarters in Aalst.

Your tasks
  • From the start of the project, you engage with the client and negotiate with architects, suppliers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders. You maintain these relationships throughout the construction phase and after project completion.
  • You supervise site managers and continuously monitor their tasks. In case of issues, you intervene promptly and effectively.
  • You manage budgets.
  • You control the progress of the works.
  • You are responsible for ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards on-site.
  • You regularly communicate with management about the project’s progress.

Of course, you won’t be working alone. You can count on a motivated team of colleagues to successfully complete your project.

What you need
  • A degree in civil or industrial engineering in construction.
  • At least 10 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong organizational skills and a high degree of autonomy.
  • Good communication skills and a developed commercial mindset.
