Job summary

In4Matic is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead IT initiatives in Generative AI and Conversational AI. You will drive end-to-end delivery, align objectives with stakeholders, and manage plans, budgets, and risks.

The role requires on-site presence and collaboration with IT teams, customers, and public-sector partners to ensure successful outcomes. You will bring a university degree in CS or related field, 2+ years in Conversational AI projects, Jira experience on multiple assignments,

Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 2+ years of project management experience in Conversational AI or chatbot projects.
• 2+ years of experience in the public sector or a public-sector organization.
• Proven Jira experience on at least two assignments.
• PM² certification and Agile methodology certification.
• Fluency in Dutch or French at C1 level, plus English at B level.

Function

We're looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our client's team and lead the delivery of innovative IT initiatives in Generative AI and Conversational AI. You'll work closely with customers, business stakeholders, and technical teams to turn business needs into clear deliverables and successfully manage projects from initiation through to completion. Role & Responsibilities

• Lead projects end-to-end, from initiation and scope definition through implementation and delivery.

• Define project objectives, scope, deliverables, timelines, and success criteria together with business and IT stakeholders.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, budgets, KPIs, and communication materials.

• Monitor project progress against scope, schedule, budget, quality, and business value.

• Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, implementing appropriate mitigation measures.

• Communicate project status, expectations, risks, decisions, and dependencies clearly to stakeholders and management.

• Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and collaborate effectively with internal IT teams, customers, and other stakeholders.

• Act as a key member of the delivery organization and contribute to a structured, Agile way of working.

Profile

We're looking for a structured and proactive professional who combines strong organizational and communication skills with a genuine drive to deliver results. You have a university degree in Computer Science or a related field, with at least 2 years of experience managing Conversational AI or chatbot projects and 2 years of experience within the public sector or a public-sector organization. You have demonstrable experience working with Jira on at least two assignments and hold a recognized Project Management methodology certification such as PM², as well as an Agile methodology certification. Fluency in Dutch or French at C1 level, combined with good working knowledge of the other national language and English at B level, is required. The role requires a strong on-site presence, potentially up to 5 days per week, depending on project requirements, with availability to start from December 2026.

Additional Experience & Assets

Experience with Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow, managing multiple projects in parallel, stakeholder management including steering committees, public transportation, and customer-facing applications such as websites or digital platforms is highly valued. A SAFe certification is a plus. Knowledge of Generative AI, Conversational AI, Microsoft Azure, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Large Language Models (LLMs), embeddings, and related technologies will further strengthen your profile.
