Jan De Nul Group is seeking a Project Management Officer to support project teams in Offshore Energy and Dredging Solutions. You will ensure clear methods, efficient tools, and a structured information flow, contributing to professional PMO operations.

Based in Aalst with some flexibility, you will work with project managers and stakeholders to standardise project support and enhance delivery across complex and diverse projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree and experience in a project environment.
  • Structured and analytical with good stakeholder communication.
  • Experience with SharePoint and Power BI is a plus.
  • Good command of Dutch and English; knowledge of French is a bonus.

  • Manage project information and documentation, keeping it complete and accessible.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and contribute to standards and best practices.
  • Support the implementation, administration and optimisation of project management tools and help users.
  • Maintain internal knowledge platforms and ensure relevant guidelines and training materials are kept up to date.
  • Deliver training sessions and support colleagues in the effective use of project processes and digital tools.

Your Work Context

Would you like to help shape the way complex projects are organised and supported? As a Project Management Officer, you will play a key role in improving processes, supporting project teams and making the best use of project management tools. In this way, you will make a difference every day and help to further strengthen project operations within Jan De Nul. Your Role

As a Project Management Officer, you will support the project teams within sectors such as Offshore Energy and Dredging Solutions. You will ensure that projects can rely on clear working methods, efficient tools and a structured flow of information and documentation. In this way, you will actively contribute to the further development and professionalisation of the PMO’s operations. You will have the opportunity to work on complex and varied projects and play a key role in improving and standardising the way projects are managed. In doing so, you will work closely with project managers, business stakeholders and other colleagues.

Your responsibilities
  • You analyse and optimise project management processes and translate them into efficient and user-friendly workflows.
  • You ensure the consistent application of agreed ways of working and perform quality checks where required.
  • You manage project information and documentation, ensuring it is always complete, up to date and easily accessible.
  • You identify opportunities for improvement and contribute to the further development of standards and best practices.
  • You support the implementation, administration and optimisation of project management tools and help users get the most out of them.
  • You maintain internal knowledge platforms and ensure relevant documentation, guidelines and training materials are kept up to date.
  • You deliver training sessions and support colleagues in the effective use of project processes and digital tools.
What do you need to have?

You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree and, ideally, have experience working in a project environment. You work in a structured manner, have an analytical mindset and communicate effectively with various stakeholders. Experience with tools such as SharePoint, Power BI or similar platforms is an advantage. You also have a good command of Dutch and English; knowledge of French is an added bonus. You will mainly be based at our office in Aalst, with scope for flexibility. In this role, you will have the opportunity to help drive the further professionalisation of the PMO’s operations. You will work closely with project managers, business stakeholders and management, and will be given the freedom to take the initiative and make a tangible impact on the way projects are supported.
