DPS Group Global is seeking a Project Leader Substations in Belgium to contribute to design, construction, and modernization of HV substations in the transmission grid. You'll oversee projects from concept to delivery, blending electrical engineering expertise with strong project coordination.

The medior role targets an engineer with several years in engineering, infrastructure or site supervision, fluent in French, with Dutch as a plus.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent is required.
• Several years of experience in project management, engineering, or site supervision.
• Interest in high-voltage installations and the energy sector.
• Native or professional fluency in French; Dutch is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to infrastructure projects for high-voltage substations from definition to closure.
• Perform technical studies, designs, and engineering activities.
• Carry out technical calculations and analyses.
• Prepare and monitor project budgets and schedules.
• Prepare tender dossiers and support procurement activities.
• Coordinate site activities with contractors, suppliers and stakeholders.
• Ensure safety, quality, planning and budget compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Report on project progress and milestones; act as main point of contact.

Job description

For a consultancy assignment with a leading player in the Belgian energy sector, we are looking for a Project Leader Substations. In this role, you will contribute to the realization, expansion, and modernization of high-voltage infrastructure within the transmission grid. You will be involved in projects from the conceptual phase through to final delivery, combining technical expertise with project coordination and site supervision.

We are specifically looking for a medior profile: an engineer who has already gained several years of experience in engineering, infrastructure projects, or site supervision and is eager to further develop within complex high-voltage projects.

Your Responsibilities

• Contribute to infrastructure projects for high-voltage substations, from the definition phase through to administrative closure.
• Perform and follow up on technical studies, designs, and engineering activities.
• Carry out technical calculations and analyses.
• Prepare, manage, and monitor project budgets and schedules.
• Prepare tender dossiers and support procurement activities.
• Coordinate site activities in collaboration with contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, planning, and budget requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Report on project progress and key milestones.
• Act as the main point of contact between the various project stakeholders.

Depending on your experience, you will manage projects independently or receive guidance from experienced colleagues. In addition, you will have access to an extensive training program to further strengthen your technical and project management expertise.

Profile

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanics, or equivalent through experience.
• Several years of relevant experience in project management, engineering, or site supervision.
• Interest in high-voltage installations and the energy sector.
• Native or professional fluency in French.
• Knowledge of Dutch is considered a strong asset.
• Strong sense of responsibility and excellent organizational skills.
• Strong communicator, customer-oriented, and assertive.
• Team player with a pragmatic and solution-oriented mindset.
• Ambition to further develop within complex technical infrastructure projects.
