Job summary

We ARE Renewables is seeking a Project Engineer T&I to lead the engineering, preparation and execution of offshore wind foundation installations (jackets and monopiles) for our client. You will collaborate with multi-national teams and manage offshore transport and installation projects with a strong engineering and installation background.

The role requires willingness to relocate to Belgium, occasional offshore work, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, Dredging or Marine Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience on offshore wind farm installation projects.
• Experience in offshore wind farm installation projects.
• Willingness to work abroad on vessels or projects and in the office.
• Willing to permanently relocate to Belgium.
• Fluent in verbal and written English.
• Excellent team player and a good communicator.

Responsibilities

• Engineering, preparation and execution of offshore projects.
• Developing method statements for offshore works before execution offshore.
• Reviewing and checking outputs from the engineering department.
• Reviewing detailed engineering reports, procedures, manuals and method statements.
• Developing work packs for the preparatory phase of the project.
• On site, lead when necessary and implement method statements.
• Responding to questions from project management and monitoring costs and planning.

Job description

We ARE looking for a Project Engineer T&I for one of our customers active in the offshore wind industry. You will play a key role in the preparation and execution of foundation installation on offshore wind farm projects like jackets and monopiles.

You will collaborate with employees of different nationalities and disciplines and you will be located in the Netherlands or Belgium. You will not be managing a team of project engineers. We are currently looking for an experienced Engineer who can manage (large) offshore transport and installation projects, having both a strong engineering but also installation background.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Being responsible for the engineering, preparation and execution of our projects;
• Developing method statements for our works before we go execute them offshore;
• Reviewing and checking work from the engineering department;
• Reviewing detailed engineering reports, procedures, manuals and method statements;
• Developing work-packs for the preparatory phase of the project;
• When on site, optimizing and implementing the method statements in practice and taking the Lead when necessary;
• Taking care of ad hoc needs of the project and actively respond to questions from the project management;
• Ensuring planning, reporting, budget control and cost monitoring.

Requirements:

• Bachelor / Master degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, Dredging or Marine Engineering;
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience working both office and offshore based on offshore wind farm installation projects.
• Experience in offshore wind farm installation projects;
• Willingness to work abroad on vessels or projects and in the office;
• Willing to permanently relocate to Belgium;
• Fluent in verbal and written English;
• Excellent team player and a good communicator.
