John Cockerill Energy is seeking a Project Engineer to support energy projects from early phases to execution. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to deliver solutions aligned with customer needs, technical requirements, and project objectives.

This role combines technical understanding with coordination across multiple teams in an international context, offering a flexible hybrid work arrangement after onboarding.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Chemical, Electromechanical, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of project execution experience.
  • Knowledge of PMBOK/ PMI principles is a plus.
  • Ability to analyze contractual requirements and apply technical choices.
  • Understanding of international codes and norms (ASME, EN, ISO).
  • Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings, P&IDs, and product processes.
  • Fluent in English; French mandatory.

Responsabilités

  • Analyze technical contracts and ensure compliance with internal standards.
  • Apply the Design Process and coordinate internal and external design teams.
  • Defend the company’s interests with customers and suppliers.
  • Prepare RFQ packages and conduct technical negotiations with suppliers.
  • Monitor supplier engineering; liaise with erection and commissioning teams on site.
  • Conduct technical risk assessments.
  • Apply internal standards and promote quality and productivity.
  • Prioritize tasks and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in project KOMs, design reviews, and coordination meetings.

Your role

As a Project Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting energy projects from early phases to execution. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to deliver solutions aligned with customer needs, technical requirements, and project objectives. This position combines technical understanding, coordination, and interaction with multiple teams, often in an international context.

Your key responsibilities
  • Analyze technical contracts and ensure compliance with internal standards
  • Apply the Design Process and coordinate internal and external design teams
  • Defend John Cockerill’s interests with customers and suppliers
  • Prepare RFQ packages and conduct technical negotiations with suppliers
  • Monitor supplier engineering and liaise with mechanical erection and commissioning advisors on site
  • Conduct technical risk assessments
  • Apply internal standards and best practices, promoting quality, efficiency, and productivity
  • Prioritize tasks and implement continuous improvement initiatives
  • Participate in project KOMs, design reviews, project reviews, progress, and technical coordination meetings

You will join a multidisciplinary and collaborative team, working closely with engineers, designers, project managers, and business stakeholders. Your profile
Experience & technical skills
  • Degree in Chemical, Electromechanical, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of experience in project execution, generalist profile
  • Knowledge of PMBOK/PMI principles is a plus
  • Ability to analyze contractual requirements and apply technical choices
  • Understanding of international codes and norms (ASME, EN, ISO)
  • Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings, understand P&IDs and product processes
  • Fluent in English, French mandatory
