Zusammenfassung

VITO seeks a Program Manager for the MESCH team in the Materials & Chemistry unit (MatCh) to develop strategy, lead a ~25-person team, and drive research to achieve unit objectives. You will draw roadmaps for new services, secure funding, and coordinate with business development to accelerate market-ready solutions.

You will report to the MatCh unit management and play a key role in strategic choices while ensuring infrastructure and personnel development.

• You have a proven track record in leadership roles and cross-functional collaboration.
• You are a people-oriented leader with coaching skills and the ability to motivate a diverse team.
• You combine vision with business acumen and can translate strategy into operational plans at team and unit level.
• You have strong communication skills and can coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
• You have experience establishing strategic collaborations for faster development or market deployment.
• You have relevant experience in advanced separations and/or process intensification; a master's or PhD is required.
• You demonstrate solid management capabilities (people and finances).
• You are flexible and adapt easily to changing circumstances.
• You speak Dutch and English fluently.

Aufgaben

• You lead VITO’s MESCH activities in advanced separation technologies and coach ~25 researchers and technicians.
• You are a member of the MATCH unit management team and report to the Research Unit Director.
• You draw up roadmaps for existing and new services and ensure the right competencies and infrastructure.
• You prepare the annual budget for your team and ensure diligent execution.
• You are accountable for project/budget acquisition and execution and partner with business development on funding.
• You ensure cross-functional collaboration across industry, government and society.
