Overview
As a Program Manager you are part of the delivery unit Operational Planning & Competencies.
You are responsible for one or several projects from a to z, meaning that you manage the delivery of the projects assigned to you in terms of scope, time, budget and quality. And this in the domain of Operational Planning & Competencies.
You will be building the digitalization of SNCB and will be creating the right values to prepare the SNCB for an efficient and performant future.
Responsibilities
What do we expect from you?
- Although the core of the project’s scope is already well defined, some epics are to be evaluated. As program manager you will oversee and value all stakeholders’ needs and consolidate the inputs towards a scope validation by the relevant boards.
- You will define your project’s staffing needs and with the team you will work out the solution strategy as well as the implementation plan.
- After validation of core project parameters at the final gate you will monitor and manage the implementation progress.
- Thanks to your day to day ownership you understand the program at all levels, whether it’d be functional, architectural, financial, from a business process point of view… you own the program and are meticulous in your reporting.

Qualifications and Experience
You are looking for an awesome program manager with the following experience and/or competencies:
- You have a positive and constructive approach, both as a team player as well as in supporting the positive image of Ypto.
- You find the right balance between getting your hands dirty whilst maintaining the helicopter view focusing on management rather than on content.
- You are a clear communicator upstream and downstream, able to separate core information from details and define concise messages
- You are able to negotiate with different levels in the company, to formalize negotiations and discussions in order to conclude in full and lasting decisions
- Project Management frameworks (PM², PMBOK, SAFe, agile…) have no secrets for you and you are able to tailor the selected framework as required.
- You understand Software Development Life Cycles, you are acquainted with devops and it\'s underlying architectural and infrastructure components
- You preferably hold a university degree in ICT or electronics, or equivalent through experience.
Conformities
- You need to be onsite (Belgium) 2 days a week
- You are flexible to work abroad.
- You possess professional proficiency (c1) in Dutch, French as well as English
- You have 10+ years of experience as a program manager for Software delivery projects
- You have a proven experience in train planning software implementation of at least 8 years.
- Proven expertise of the (Inter-)National and local railway infrastructure and timetabling, interfacing with infrastructure providers and external operators using international standards
- Proven expertise (min 5years) with SAP implementation and interfacing, especially with SAP HR and SAP PM/MM modules
