Job summary

TMC Belgium is seeking a Production Planner to oversee the end-to-end flow of materials across the production and supply chain, balancing service, efficiency and inventory. You will develop planning strategies and work with internal and external partners to improve coordination and visibility of material flow.

You will lead improvement initiatives, including ERP/SAP enhancements, and monitor KPIs such as service level and working capital efficiency.

Qualifications

• Requires degree in a related field and 5+ years in material/production/supply planning.
• Strong knowledge of MRP, forecasting, inventory management, and end-to-end supply chain operations.
• Hands-on experience with SAP or another ERP system and advanced Excel skills.
• Fluency in Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

Job description

As a Production Planner, you will oversee (end-to-end) the flow of materials throughout the production and supply chain network, ensuring the right materials are available at the right time. You will work on the development of planning strategies that balance customer service, operational efficiency, and inventory investment. The role combines daily operational planning with ownership of improvement initiatives that strengthen supply chain performance. You will work closely with internal departments and external partners to improve coordination, visibility, and reliability across the material flow.

• Manage material requirements, replenishment activities, and supplier coordination to support uninterrupted production.
• Analyze inventory performance and implement actions to reduce excess, slow-moving, and obsolete stock.
• Lead supply chain projects focused on process standardization, automation, digitalization, and ERP/SAP improvements.
• Monitor and improve planning-related performance indicators, including service level, and working capital efficiency.
• Conduct supply chain risk and scenario analyses while developing appropriate responses to potential supply disruptions.

What we expect from you:

• Degree in supply chain, logistics, materials, engineering or related field,
• 5+ years in material planning, production planning, supply planning, or a related supply chain function.
• Strong knowledge of MRP, forecasting, inventory management, and end-to-end supply chain operations.
• Hands-on experience with SAP or another ERP system, combined with advanced Excel skills.
• Professional proficiency in Dutch AND English.
