DeLaval is seeking a Production Engineer in Drongen (Ghent), Belgium, to join the Maintenance & Engineering Team. You will improve reliability, efficiency and future development of our production facilities, blending day-to-day operations with project engineering and cross-functional collaboration with production, maintenance, quality and logistics.

Your role focuses on preventive maintenance, engineering projects from design to implementation, and developing documentation and SOPs, while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent through experience.
• Interest in manufacturing processes, maintenance and industrial operations.
• Knowledge of automation, process engineering or project management is an advantage.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Self-driven, proactive and results-oriented.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, plan and follow up preventive maintenance and calibration activities.
• Support and manage engineering projects from design to implementation.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, work instructions and SOPs.
• Manage technical purchasing activities and supplier follow-up.
• Coordinate contractors and subcontractors during project execution.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality and efficiency.
• Support change control activities in cooperation with the QA department.
• Train and support operators on new processes and equipment.
• Prepare engineering datasheets and technical drawings (AutoCAD).
• Participate in risk assessments and HAZOP studies.
