As a dualoop consultant, you remain part of our team across client mandates. Depending on the context, you may diagnose how an organisation operates, shape a target operating model, lead strategic discovery or work alongside client teams to put change into practice. dualoop helps shape each mandate, supports you through the work and stays accountable for the quality of the engagement.

You will work across different organisations, challenges and ways of working while staying connected to a small senior team. We expect you to form a view, explain the evidence behind it and take ownership of useful progress. You will have room to shape the mandate and method, with peers who test your thinking, offer candid feedback and help you deepen your craft.

Your role

You will join dualoop as a Product Transformation Consultant and work alongside client leaders and teams on a defined transformation mandate. Rather than taking responsibility for one product, you will help improve the system around product teams: how priorities are set, investment decisions are made, responsibilities are divided, and discovery and delivery connect.

Assignments vary. You might diagnose why product work has lost momentum, co-design a target product operating model, redesign decision rights and team boundaries, or help leaders and teams put new ways of working into practice. You will stay close enough to day‑to‑day product work to see whether those changes genuinely help.

This role combines diagnosis, design, implementation and coaching. You will not stop at a recommendation: you will turn organisational choices into practical mechanisms, test them through real work and adjust them with the client. You remain part of dualoop throughout the mandate, working with peers who challenge your thinking and support the quality of the engagement.

Success means clearer product decisions, stronger internal capability and working mechanisms that the client can use, review and adapt without depending on dualoop.

What you will do

• Diagnose how product work currently operates across strategy, investment, governance, ownership, discovery, delivery and measurement. Gather evidence through interviews, observation, workshops, data and existing artefacts, separating symptoms from underlying causes.
• Map how decisions are really made, where accountability becomes unclear and where organisational friction slows teams down.
• Co-design practical operating choices with leaders and teams, including product boundaries, decision rights, governance, prioritisation, planning rhythms and evidence standards.
• Turn those choices into useful mechanisms for real work, such as clear responsibilities, review routines, decision forums, escalation paths and shared artefacts.
• Sequence and pilot new ways of working, observe what changes, track adoption and adjust the approach as the organisation learns.
• Coach product leaders, Product Managers and Product Owners through actual decisions and initiatives, helping them strengthen their own judgement and develop the people around them.
• Facilitate one-to-one conversations, group sessions and workshops where priorities, responsibilities or trade-offs need to become explicit.
• Surface resistance early and address it constructively with the people affected by the change.
• Transfer responsibility progressively to internal owners so the changes can outlast the engagement.
• Contribute to the scoping, delivery and reporting of engagements, taking responsibility for the outcomes agreed with the client.
• Work closely with other dualoop consultants, keeping our approach coherent and bringing useful lessons back to our frameworks, training, content and community.
• Support the hiring and onboarding of new consultants as the practice grows.

What you bring

• 3-7 years of experience in product management, including product leadership responsibilities and experience developing other product people.
• A master’s degree in business engineering, industrial engineering, civil engineering or computer science.
• First‑hand experience across product discovery and delivery, giving you the credibility to coach others through the work.
• A practical understanding of how strategy, investment, governance, team design, discovery and delivery influence one another.
• Experience diagnosing organisational problems and turning evidence into clear, actionable choices.
• Experience helping teams or organisations implement change, not only defining what should change.
• Experience coaching Product Managers, Product Owners or product leaders through real work.
• The ability to work credibly with senior leaders while remaining connected to the reality of product teams.
• Strong facilitation skills and the confidence to make assumptions, disagreements and trade‑offs visible.
• The ability to communicate complex ideas clearly, in writing and in conversation.
• Professional fluency in English and either French or Dutch.

Useful, but not essential

• Three to five years’ experience in a consulting firm is a strong asset.
• Experience with organisational design or applied change management.
• Exposure to portfolio management, product funding or governance redesign.
• Familiarity with formal change approaches such as Kotter, ADKAR or Prosci, and experience adapting them in practice.
• Experience designing or delivering coaching, training or other capability‑building work.
• Experience with product maturity assessments, organisational research or strategic discovery.

• You prefer applying the same framework unchanged in every organisation.
• You want to remain at strategy level without working through the practical consequences for teams.
• You primarily want to own one product rather than improve the wider system in which product teams operate.
• You are uncomfortable surfacing difficult questions about priorities, accountability or resistance to change.
• You prefer solving problems on the client’s behalf rather than helping its people build the capability to own the change.
• You want a 9 to 5 job. We're driven by the impact we make and never look the clock.
• You need a clear path. We expect you to pave your own path and find your way.
