ABB Distribution Solutions zoekt een Product Specialist voor Distribution Automation in België en Luxemburg. Je bent de schakel tussen innovatieve gridoplossingen en klanten, en werkt aan technische documentatie, positionering en bid support.

Je bouwt relaties met utilities en systeemintegrators en vertaalt klantbehoeften naar marktgerichte strategieën. Je combineert software- en automatiseringsexpertise met commerciële scherpte, werkt in een flexibele omgeving met ondersteuning van een sterk

Qualifications

• 3–5+ jaar ervaring in productmarketing, technisch sales support of business development.
• Vloeiende beheersing van Nederlands en Engels; Frans is een plus.
• Sterke communicatieve vaardigheden en commercial thinking.
• Kennis van distributieautomatisering, SCADA-systemen of gerelateerde softwareoplossingen.
• In staat software- en automatiseringsconcepten om te zetten in klantwaarde.

Responsabilités

• Offeren van technische documentatie door samenwerking met engineering, technisch, productmanagement en softwareteams.
• Beheer van positionering van oplossingen en bid support, inclusief technische reviews en klantpresentaties.
• Opbouwen van sterke relaties met utilities en systeemintegrators voor een uitstekende klantbeleving.
• Verhogen van verkoop efficiëntie door productkennis, markttendensen en concurrentie-inzichten te leveren.
• Vertalen van klantvereisten en grid modernization uitdagingen naar interne richtlijnen en go-to-market strategieën.

Your mission

You’ll support our sales teams and customers across Belgium and Luxembourg in understanding and deploying distribution automation solutions that modernize electrical grids. From your first customer conversation to project completion, you’ll own the full technical and marketing narrative - backed by a powerhouse team and world-class technology.

Your Day-to-day Includes

• Delivering accurate and competitive technical documentation by coordinating with engineering, technical, product management, and software teams.
• Managing all aspects of solution positioning and bid support, including technical reviews, risk assessments, and participation in customer presentations.
• Building strong relationships with utilities, infrastructure operators, and system integrators - contributing to an excellent customer experience through technical depth and market insight.
• Strengthening sales efficiency by providing product knowledge, training materials, market trends, and competitive intelligence on distribution automation solutions.
• Translating complex customer requirements and grid modernization challenges into clear internal guidelines and go-to-market strategies.

Someone who’s energized by the intersection of software, automation, and electrical infrastructure - and who understands the business drivers behind digital grid transformation. You Are Also

• A technical professional with 3–5+ years of experience in product marketing, technical sales support, or business development - preferably in electrical systems, grid automation, software solutions, or related infrastructure sectors.
• Someone who thrives at the intersection of technical depth and commercial thinking - comfortable translating software and automation concepts into customer business value.
• Fluent in Dutch and English - French is a strong plus.
• Familiar with distribution automation, SCADA systems, grid management software, or motivated to quickly develop expertise in these technologies.
• A passionate collaborator on electrification and grid modernization projects that accelerate the energy transition and improve grid resilience.
• Strong communication skills across diverse stakeholder groups - from engineers to C-suite decision makers.
