Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar Agile delivery role.
• Strong understanding of credit products, lending processes, and financial services environments.
• Experience managing stakeholders across business and technology functions.
• Experience working within Agile Scrum environments.

We are seeking an experienced Agile Product Owner to drive the delivery of business and technology initiatives within a credit-related environment. Working within a Scrum team, you will represent business stakeholders and end users, ensuring that product requirements are clearly defined, prioritised, and translated into valuable product increments.

You will be responsible for managing the product backlog, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring that solutions meet both business objectives and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Product Ownership & Delivery

• Define objectives and deliverables for business initiatives.
• Lead workshops and refinement sessions to shape business solutions and translate them into actionable product increments.
• Prioritise features and user stories based on business value, stakeholder needs, technical constraints, and user feedback.
• Manage stakeholder expectations across business, risk, legal, and technical functions.
• Own, maintain, and prioritise the product backlog.
• Define clear user stories and measurable acceptance criteria.
• Work closely with development teams, ensuring a thorough understanding of business requirements.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives alongside the Scrum Master.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions aligned with business objectives.

Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure regulatory, legal, and compliance considerations are incorporated from the design phase onwards.
• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and Risk teams to assess and validate the impact of new features.
• Maintain documentation to support governance, audit, and traceability requirements.
• Measure product and initiative performance through defined KPIs and business metrics.
• Identify opportunities to optimise processes and improve user experiences.
• Recommend incremental enhancements based on operational feedback, user insights, and data analysis.
• Support the adoption of automation and efficiency improvements where appropriate.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

• Communicate progress and delivery outcomes to stakeholders through presentations, demonstrations, and status reporting.
• Support end-users through training and change management activities.
• Collaborate with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, including:
• Product Owners
• Release Managers
• Business Stakeholders
• Risk, Legal & Compliance Teams
• Security and Technology Teams
• Act as a champion for Agile ways of working and continuous improvement.

Required Experience

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar Agile delivery role.
• Strong understanding of credit products, lending processes, and financial services environments.
• Experience managing stakeholders across business and technology functions.
• Proven ability to translate business requirements into clear functional requirements and user stories.
• Experience working within Agile Scrum environments.

Technical Skills

• Understanding of customer journey and customer-centric design principles.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams and participate in technical discussions.
• Understanding of technical constraints and dependencies when prioritising business requirements.
• Experience using Agile delivery tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
