Bambaw in Brussels seeks a Product Engineer to own the hard goods development from concept to production-ready products. You’ll collaborate with suppliers across Asia, validate materials, ensure compliance and build technical standards to scale.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in consumer product engineering, hands-on prototyping and DFM, strong problem-solving, and fluent English. Experience with Asian factories or SolidWorks/Rhino is a plus; you’ll join a small team with ownership and impact.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in product development engineering for physical consumer products.
• Hands-on prototyping, material selection, DFM, and supplier iteration.
• Strong technical problem-solving; diagnose failures and drive corrective actions.
• Fluent English (working language).

Responsabilités

• Lead end-to-end product development for assigned hard goods: develop concepts based on market requirements, benchmark competitor and potential supplier samples, evaluate feasibility and risks, material evaluation, prototyping, DFM alignment, and supplier iteration.
• Define product requirements and functional test plans, validate compliance (REACH, CE, LFGB, mechanical safety) before launch through labs where necessary.
• Approve pre-production samples (FBS, PPS) and define inspection checklists and QC standards.
• Run post-launch quality reviews (returns, defects, customer feedback) and drive corrective actions.
• Build and maintain a Technical Development Wiki: testing standards, materials guidelines, supplier requirements, DFM rules.
• Provide technical support to sourcing, supply chain, marketplaces, and brand teams for smooth launches.

The Role

We’re looking for a Product Engineer to own the technical development of our hard goods portfolio — from feasibility and prototyping through to production-ready products. You’ll work directly with our suppliers (primarily in Asia), validate materials and manufacturing processes, ensure compliance, and build the technical standards that allow us to scale.
