UCB is seeking a Process Engineer for its Process Engineering team at the Belgium campus in Braine-l'Alleud. You will support clinical manufacturing transfers, scale-up, and execution for biologics and rAAV processes, collaborating with development, manufacturing, QA, and global engineering.

You will draft SOPs and risk assessments, define equipment design, and contribute to qualification activities. A strong problem-solving mindset and fluency in French and English are essential.

• 3+ years of experience in biologics drug substance manufacturing.
• Fluent in French and English.

We are looking for a Process Engineer who is collaborative, solution-oriented, and detail-driven to join our Process Engineering team, based at our UCB campus located in Braine-l'Alleud, Belgium.

About The Role

You will be at the heart of clinical manufacturing, supporting the transfer, scale-up, and execution of biologics and rAAV processes. You’re going to help shape how UCB brings biotech innovations to life—efficiently, compliantly, and at scale.

Who You Will Work With

You will collaborate closely with process development, manufacturing teams and quality assurance to ensure seamless tech transfer (facility-fit, scale-up, mass balance and process documentation). In addition you will collaborate with global engineering and qualification to define user requirements for new equipment and/or single-use assemblies. You will also interact with regulatory, and authorities during audits.

• You have 3+ years of experience in biologics drug substance manufacturing.

• You adapt quickly to changing timelines and apply learnings across projects.
• You are fluent in both French and English.
