Job summary

VIB-UAntwerp Center for Molecular Neurology seeks a postdoctoral scientist to study regulatory mechanisms governing alternative isoform usage in dementia, funded by the Alzheimer’s Association. The project merges genetics, systems biology and computational biology to map isoform-specific regulation in the human brain.

You will develop integrative analyses, leverage 3D chromatin data and support new mechanistic insights, with two-year funding and opportunities for fellowship applications.

Qualifications

• PhD in computational biology, systems biology, bioinformatics or related field.
• Strong computational skills and experience with single-cell or multimodal data are essential.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build isoform-specific regulatory atlas for human brain in health and disease.
• Identify causal regulatory elements and transcription factors for ATSS/ATTS in dementia.
• Collaborate across genetics, systems biology and computational biology to study regulatory mechanisms.
