Allianz Benelux seeks a Portfolio Manager Benelux specialized in Property to advance our property commercial market. Based in Brussels or Rotterdam, you will steer the P&C MidCorp portfolio and define underwriting guidelines within a multinational setting.

You will develop pricing and product strategies, manage referrals with the Reinsurance Dept., and participate in cross-border projects while leveraging Allianz Academy training and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Master in economics/business orientation with experience in underwriting or portfolio steering.
• Some project management experience or leadership of projects in a large organization.
• Fluent in English; Dutch and/or French are a nice asset; comfortable with AI, Excel and dashboarding.

Within our Benelux Steering department, we are currently looking for a Portfolio Manager Benelux specialized in the Property line of Business to expand our leading position in the property commercial market.

This role will give you the opportunity to:

• Lead, steer, monitor and control the P&C Midcorp Property business (Low, midsized and upper midco including coinsurance) to ensure achievement of profitable growth according to plan. Ensure compliance with all relevant Group standards (ASU, Allianz Rules for Technical Management in P/C, ...).
• Develop the underwriting strategy and guidelines for his assigned Line of Business and collaborate with Underwriting to implement and execute it.
• Manage the exceptional UW referrals excluded by the perimeter of the Midcorp Underwriters.
• Define and execute the technical product and pricing development to support the full Property proposition, in collaboration with other stakeholders.
• Track all macro economic developments (like eg inflation) and translate this into proper portfolio management

Your main responsibilities will be:

• You'll be responsible for your portfolio steering and monitoring: control portfolio to drive achievement of financial targets (e.g. LR, combined ratio, Forward looking kpi's).
• Defines the underwriting strategy to drive profitable growth and ensure the strategy is faithfully executed.
• Identify market opportunities, including potential markets, target segments and clients, in liaison with other functions to support our market proposition.
• Conduct Underwriting File Reviews and execute the exceptional underwriting within the assigned authorization, including facultative reinsurance needs in collaboration with Reinsurance Department.
• You will also be in contact with several departments within Allianz Benelux, therefore relationship management is key like participating proactively in local, regional & Group projects and representing P&C TA Midcorp within AZ Benelux, and externally to specific insurance association workgroups.
