Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB) invites applications for a 3.5-year paid PhD position in the CeSCuP Department within the Faculté des sciences psychologiques et de l'éducation. The project investigates the relationships between authoritarian attitudes, perceived threats and support for the far right, focusing on Brussels as a diverse urban setting.

Qualifications

• Master's diploma in (social) psychology or related field is required.
• Strong motivation to conduct research on intergroup relations and political attitudes.
• Experience in literature review, data collection, analysis and reporting is desirable.
• Strong quantitative statistics skills are required.
• Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills are essential.
• Excellent English writing and presentation skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Engage in execution of the research project as part of the ARC advanced project.
• Prepare a doctoral thesis in psychology.
• Aim to publish scientific articles and present at national/international conferences and workshops.
• Contribute to joint survey research around Belgian electoral cycles 2029 and 2030.
• Collaborate across participating teams in data collection and interdisciplinary activities.
• Knowledge of French is a plus.
