The University of Antwerp invites applications for a full-time doctoral scholarship holder in reproductive pathophysiology and toxicology. The role includes preparing and defending a PhD thesis on maternal metabolic status and placental development, publishing research, and providing teaching and research support at Campus Drie Eiken.

The candidate should hold a Master in life sciences, demonstrate strong research abilities, and be prepared to pursue external funding.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in life sciences or equivalent.
• Good study results are required.
• Research qualities aligned with policies.
• Teaching competences aligned with educational vision.
• Quality, integrity, creativity and cooperation expected.
• Open and honest communication is valued.
• EU Certificate of Laboratory Animal Sciences preferred or willing to obtain.
• Experience with animal models preferred.
• Willingness to apply for external research grants (e.g., FWO).
• Non-EU applicants should verify visa regulations.

Responsabilités

• Active contribution to preparation and defence of a PhD thesis on reproductive pathophysiology and toxicology.
