University of Antwerp invites applications for a full-time doctoral scholarship in electrochemical engineering. You will join the ELCAT group working within the NOW Weave project led by Prof.

Marc Koper to advance CO2 electrolysis under elevated temperature and pressure and develop durable electrode and electrolyzer designs. You will publish scientific articles and/or patents, and also support general research and teaching tasks while ensuring lab safety for gases and chemicals.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in chemistry or related field.
• Excellent study results.
• Ability to align with the University of Antwerp’s educational vision and research policies.
• Strong planning, organizing, and independent work capabilities.

Responsabilités

• work actively on the preparation and defence of a PhD thesis in electrode and reactor engineering.
• publish scientific articles and/or patents related to the research project.
• support general research and teaching tasks for the research group and Faculty of Applied Engineering.
• co-responsible for safety in the research labs, especially gases and chemicals.
