Ghent University in Belgium invites a highly motivated candidate to pursue a doctoral dissertation in the Department EA07 - Telecommunicatie en Informatieverwerking. You will devote ~90% to academic research, develop mathematical models and signal processing algorithms, and design radar waveforms for advanced studies.

The position requires a Master’s degree in Electrical or related fields, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in MATLAB/Python/C++.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Applied Physics, or a related field
• Strong background in signal processing and communication systems
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
• Good programming skills (MATLAB, Python, C/C++, or similar)
• Excellent written and spoken English skills
• A strong interest in scientific research and innovation

Responsabilités

• At least 90% of your assignment will be spent on academic research in preparation of a doctoral dissertation
• Conduct original scientific research leading to a doctoral degree (PhD)
• Develop mathematical models and signal processing algorithms
• Design and evaluate advanced radar waveforms
• Perform simulations and experimental validations
• Publish results in leading international conferences and journals
• Present your work at scientific meetings and conferences
• Collaborate with academic and industrial project partners
• Support the supervision of Master’s thesis students
