Antwerp Space is seeking an FPGA/DSP specialist to design, develop, and validate advanced signal processing algorithms for next‑generation wireless baseband systems. Your work will contribute to space communications, radar, and GNSS.

You will translate theory into efficient digital implementations, model PHY systems in Python/MATLAB/C/C++, optimize performance and robustness, and collaborate with FPGA, hardware, and software engineers to ensure reliable test strategies and lab validation.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or related field.
• Strong foundation in digital signal processing and communication theory.
• Proficient in Python, MATLAB, C or C++.
• Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsabilités

• Model and simulate state-of-the-art physical layer (PHY) systems using Python, MATLAB, C, and/or C++.
• Design and optimize signal processing algorithms with focus on performance, robustness, and efficiency.
• Develop fixed-point models and perform detailed performance and quantization analysis.
• Collaborate closely with FPGA, hardware, and software engineers to translate algorithms into efficient digital implementations.
• Contribute to code development in MATLAB, Python, C, and/or C++.
• Define and execute test strategies, analyze results, and debug system-level issues.
• Support integration and validation of designs in both simulation and laboratory environments.
