Université de Namur invites applications for a MSCA SPARK PhD position in numerical photonics. The PhD will study optical vortex generation in twisted bilayer photonic crystals, combining theory, simulations, and experimental fabrication in moiré optics.

Secondments at IMEC and INESC MN and collaboration across SPARK partners are planned. The candidate will develop modeling, HPC-based simulations, and hands-on nanofabrication and characterisation while building a strong international research

Qualifications

• Master's degree in physics or closely related field.
• Strong skills in English language.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary, international team.

Responsabilités

• Perform theoretical and numerical calculations for the SPARK project.
• Contribute to experimental fabrication and characterization of twisted photonic structures.
• Collaborate with partner labs (INESC MN, IMEC) and SPARK network members.
