KU Leuven invites applications for a PhD researcher in Neurosciences focused on two complementary research lines: CORGEE EEG-based objective testing and bony obliteration in cholesteatoma surgery.

The project involves clinical validation, data analysis, and close collaboration with university centres in Belgium and the Netherlands, aiming to improve diagnosis and treatment for hearing loss.

Qualifikationen

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Strong interest in clinical and translational research.
• Excellent command of Dutch and English, with good knowledge of French.

Aufgaben

• Develop clinical implementation and validation of CORGEE within the otology care pathway.
• Investigate the added value of objective assessment for clinical decision-making, hearing aid and cochlear implant fitting.
• Collaborate with university centres across Belgium and the Netherlands.
• prospectively collect and analyse clinical, surgical, audiological, and radiological data.
• Contribute to CLEAR-EAR study comparing canal wall up technique with obliteration.
