Job summary

C-Target is seeking a Transport Manager to lead day-to-day transport planning, drivers, and fleet across sites in Sint-Niklaas, Tessenderlo and Zolder. The role focuses on safe, efficient GDP-compliant operations and ongoing improvement in services for pharmaceutical stakeholders.

You will manage ~10 drivers, coordinate with the planning team, and drive strategic development with the parent company, while maintaining high-quality, reliable logistics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in logistics or related field.
• Several years of experience in an operational transport role.
• Certificate of professional competence in road haulage (or willingness to obtain).
• Hands-on, problem-solving approach in a dynamic logistics environment.
• Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Knowledge of GDP guidelines is an asset.
• People management and development of the team.
• Strong analytical and solution-oriented mindset; translate insights into results.
• Fluent in Dutch and English; French is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Strategy and growth: shape the strategic vision and further develop transport operations.
• Operational management: daily transport operations across three sites; monitor KPIs and GDP standards.
• Team leadership: manage about ten drivers and support planning; emphasize safety and efficiency.
• Fleet and maintenance: oversee fleet; schedule maintenance and inspections.
• Continuous improvement: analyze processes and propose efficiency, quality and sustainability improvements.
• Compliance: ensure compliance with road transport legislation and Belgian Joint Committee 140.03.
