Job summary

EY Belgium is seeking a Payroll Officer to join our Core Business Services team. You will manage the monthly payroll for multiple service lines, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide proactive advisory support to the Talent Team.

You will collaborate closely with payroll and HR colleagues to deliver accurate payroll and an excellent employee experience. We offer flexible working arrangements, an attractive remuneration package, and mobility options within EY's global network.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant experience in payroll.
• Fluent in Dutch and French, good level of English.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Strong knowledge of Belgian social and labor legislation.
• Discreet, punctual and precise.
• Team player with autonomy and excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Process monthly payroll end-to-end for one or more service lines, ensuring compliance with social and fiscal regulations.
• Advise Talent Team on payroll specifics for different service lines.
• Support daily payroll operations in collaboration with Talent Teams.
• Collect time and attendance data and other inputs for payroll cycles.
• Perform administrative tasks related to social security, accidents, insurances, etc.
• Maintain payroll application and run regular data controls for accuracy.
• Address personnel file issues to provide optimal service to employees.
• Stay updated on payroll legislation and developments.
• Work as a key member of the payroll team reporting to the Payroll Manager.

As a Payroll Officer you are an essential element in our Payroll team and you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks. As a team, we strive for quality, operational excellence and supporting the employee experience within our firm.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Processing the monthly payroll from A to Z for one or more service lines and ensure compliance with social and fiscal regulations and correct and timely calculation and payment of salaries.
• Understand the unique factors involved in processing the payroll for a service line as your internal client(s) and advice proactively the Talent Team of the different service lines.
• Support the daily payroll related operations in close partnership with the Talent Teams in the service lines.
• Collecting time & attendance data and other data needed for the monthly payroll cycle.
• Perform administrative tasks related to social security obligations, accidents at work, insurances etc.
• Use and maintain the payroll application and guarantee its correctness by performing regular controls.
• Follow up on issues with regard to personnel files to ensure that the best possible service is offered to our internal employees.
• Continuously keep current with the most recent developments and payroll legislation.
• You will be a key member of the payroll team and reporting to the Payroll Manager, working in close collaboration with the Talent Teams in different service lines.

Your Profile

You have:

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience within a payroll department.
• An excellent level of Dutch, French and a good level of English.
• A good knowledge of MS Office and specifically Excel.
• Good knowledge in Belgian social and labor legislation.
• You are discrete, punctual and precise.
• You are a team player, balanced by a healthy sense of autonomy.
• You have excellent organization and communication skills.
