Job summary

Infinity Jobs in Belgium seeks a fabric prep operator to prepare materials for the cutting process in a garment manufacturing setting. You will set up machines, supervise automatic unrolling and layering, and ensure fabric direction and warp/weft are correct for accurate cutting.

You will then sort cut pieces, group components like sleeves and panels, and follow the production schedule to keep work moving smoothly and efficiently through the next production stage.

• You set up the machine and monitor the automatic unrolling and layering of the fabric.
• You take into account the fabric direction, warp and weft when preparing the materials
• You identify weaving defects and other irregularities and position the fabric in such a way that defective sections do not end up in the finished garments
• You check that the fabrics are correctly prepared and ready for the cutting machine.
• You collect the cut pieces and sort them according to the correct pattern.
• You group components such as sleeves, collars, front panels and back panels so they can be processed together in the next production stage.
• You follow the production schedule and ensure that the work progresses smoothly and efficiently.

Job description

Do you have experience working with fabrics and know how to identify different pattern pieces? For a garment manufacturing company in the Tielt region, we are looking for someone to prepare fabrics for the cutting process and correctly sort the cut pattern pieces.
