CommScope is seeking a Principal Product Development Engineer to spearhead ideation and design of next-generation optical interconnect technology for high-speed, high-density platforms. You will collaborate with Product Line Management, Advanced Manufacturing, Operations, Sales, and other groups to push innovation and drive product success.

You will lead development efforts from concept through production, applying 3D CAD and finite element analysis to create reliable, manufacturable solutions

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Typically requires 12 years of related experience; higher degrees may reduce years required.
• Experience with fiber optic connectivity and related industry.
• Strong background in connector design and mechanical design development including tolerance analysis.

Responsabilités

• Lead conceptual design and development of innovative optical connectivity solutions.
• Drive design verification, tolerance analysis, and prototype testing.
• Set development goals and specifications with stakeholders across functions.
• Analyze experimental data and generate technical reports.
• Research emerging technologies to support future product advancements.
• Generate IP portfolios for new technologies.
