Our client, a leading company in Brussels and active in the services sector, is looking for an interim Operations Manager (self-employed) for a period of 6 to 8 months.

As Operations Manager, you animate, organize and coordinate teams up to 30 people that take care of claims management for private companies.

The Operations Manager key responsibilities will include:

  • An effective organization, collaboration and an optimized balancing of the workload, making action plans, reducing backlogs, fixing priorities
  • A strong quality of service and respect of agreed SLA’s while optimizing the productivity of the teams
  • A coherent client servicing thanks to aligned ways of working in the teams, the implementation and control of business processes/procedures and a close monitoring of the quality level of communication with customers
  • You lead or contribute actively to improvement or change projects.
  • You determine (in strong collaboration with Business) the targets for your teams and you follow-up on those targets and you implement improvement plans where needed.
  • You are the ear of the customers and in that sense, you contribute pro-actively to the elaboration of the roadmap and you take up the responsibility to address the raised problems in due time in order to ensure continuous improvements.

Key qualifications for the role as Operations Manager:

  • A strong experience in Operations Management in a service-oriented environment (back-office, claims handling, customer service) in a B2B context.
  • A strong experience in people management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills that allow you to build trust-based relationships with both internal stakeholders and external clients, ensuring open lines of communication at all times.
  • Fluency in Dutch and French (both written and spoken) with knowledge of English to effectively communicate with diverse teams, stakeholders, and clients.
