Ensuring aviation safety by managing and following up safety-related activities within the various Directorates-General and by performing safety investigations.

What does a skeyes Operational Safety Unit Officer do?

You analyse occurrences and you identify the key factors that enable to reduce the severity of an occurrence and you propose recommendations for improving the ATM system (human, equipment and procedures).

• You provide feedback to the actors in the field regarding the status and results of the investigations.
• You contribute to elaborating the periodical safety reports and trend analyses.
• You interact with the Corporate SMU in order to constantly improve the reporting and investigating process.
• You participate in in-company and external workshops.
• You promote the importance of safety and just culture within the company, especially in the operational services.

Candidate profile

What makes you the perfect Operational Safety Unit Officer?

• You are interested in safety culture.
• You have a solid knowledge of and experience with the various ATS domains with professional competencies in the operational field and the ATC processes (Air Traffic Control).
• You have experience in or you have been involved in research/investigations (analysis, reporting, recommendations, follow-up), preferably in the aviation sector.
• You have an analytical mind.
• You are open to consensus.
• You respect confidentiality.
• You are honest.
• You have excellent communication skills.
• You have solid knowledge of English, but you can easily express yourself in French and Dutch as well.
