INEOS Belgium, Antwerp, is seeking an Operational Buyer to ensure cost-efficient and compliant procurement for O&P EU Belgian sites. You will execute P2P processes in SAP, manage supplier data, and support onboarding and contract activities to sustain plant operations.

The role requires SAP/MM proficiency, Dutch and English fluency, and a proactive, detail-oriented approach to procurement governance and HSSE standards. Hybrid/onsite options may apply depending on location.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of procurement processes, P2P controls and documentation.
• Ability to create POs, follow up confirmations and manage supplier data accurately.
• SAP MM, MDG and MS Office proficiency; experience with GEP is a plus.
• Fluent in Dutch and English; French/German beneficial.
• Communicates clearly, concisely and confidently with different audiences and uses facts and data.
• Strong organisation and prioritisation skills.
• Attention to detail and discipline in procurement procedures, systems, tools and data.
• Proactive approach to issue resolution.

Responsabilités

• Obtain order confirmations, monitor deliveries, and coordinate issue resolution with suppliers, warehouses, and internal stakeholders to ensure business continuity.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies and support Accounts Payable.
• Maintain accurate supplier, material, contract, and master data in SAP and procurement systems.
• Drive procurement excellence through consistent use of procedures, tools, and systems; identify improvements.
• Support supplier onboarding and pre-qualification activities, including management of documentation.
• Support contract preparation, review, renewal, and administration.
• Monitor supplier KPIs, service levels, savings, working capital impacts, contract validity, and documentation completeness.
• Ensure compliance with procurement governance, DOA, audit requirements, and HSSE standards.

Our O&P Europe business unit, is responsible for the development and growth of the High Density Polyethylene and Polypropylene markets for INEOS.
For our procurement service team (Lillo, Geel and Neder-Over-Heembeek), we are looking for a Operational Buyer.

About the role

• Ensures efficient, compliant, reliable and cost-effective supply of goods and services for the O&P EU Belgian Sites
• Supports the procurement team with the day-to-day procurement activities by ensuring accurate purchase-to-pay (P2P) execution, timely and compliant purchase order processing, supplier data maintenance, and operational support
• The role ensures supply continuity for internal stakeholders and contributes to safe and reliable plant operations through strong process discipline and compliance with INEOS procurement governance, the 20 Safety Principles, the Life Saving Rules and relevant IGGNs

Responsibilities

Procure-to-Pay (P2P)

• Create, manage, and track purchase orders and contracts in SAP with high accuracy
• Obtain order confirmations, monitor deliveries, and coordinate issue resolution with suppliers, warehouses, and internal stakeholders to ensure business continuity
• Resolve invoice discrepancies and support Accounts Payable
• Maintain accurate supplier, material, contract, and master data in SAP and procurement systems
• Drives procurement excellence through consistent use of procedures, tools, and systems, providing input/lessons learned to identify process and system improvements and support implementations to enhance efficiency, compliance, and reliability, while ensuring high accuracy and quality of all data and master data
• Support supplier onboarding and pre-qualification activities, including management of financial, technical, certification, and HSSE documentation
• Support contract preparation, review, renewal, and administration
• Monitor supplier KPIs, service levels, savings, working capital impacts, contract validity, and documentation completeness
• Ensure compliance with procurement governance, Delegation of Authority, audit requirements, and HSSE standards

HSSE Responsibilities

• Apply INEOS HSSE policies and safety requirements in all procurement activities
• Support supplier and contractor HSSE qualification and performance evaluations
• Ensure procurement activities comply with Life Saving Rules and other applicable safety requirements

Profile

Level of education & experience

• Professional education in Business, Procurement, Engineering, Supply Chain or equivalent by experience
• 0–3 years experience in procurement operations (P2P/S2C), administration or supply chain

Technical skills

• Basic knowledge of procurement processes, P2P controls and documentation
• Ability to create POs, follow up confirmations and manage supplier data accurately
• SAP MM, MDG and MS Office proficiency; experience with GEP is a plus
• Fluent in Dutch and English; French/German beneficial
• Communicates clearly, concisely and confidently with different audiences and uses facts and data
• Strong organisation and prioritisation skills

This position is classified within a salary scale with a gross annual salary between € 65.126 and € 97.696 (incl. year-end bonus and holiday pay).
