Job summary

Samsonite is seeking a maintenance technician to perform curative and preventive work on machinery, diagnose relay circuits, and adjust wiring per electrical diagrams. Must be able to operate automatic systems and have PLC familiarity. Eplan experience is a plus. Travel may be required as part of a dynamic, international team.

The role is based in Oost-Vlaanderen, Belgium, offering a hands-on environment in a high-tech setting with opportunities to grow within a global company.

Qualifications

• Technical background through studies or initial experience.
• Willingness to work in a two-shift system, occasional Saturdays, and rotating on-call duty.

Responsibilities

• Perform curative and preventive maintenance on machines and installations.
• Diagnose complex relay circuits using schematics.
• Replace frequency controllers and input parameters.
• Measure motors and adjust wiring according to electrical diagrams; update diagrams in Eplan.
• Understand and start automatic systems independently.
• Knowledge of PLC controls may include PLC diagnostics and small programs.

• Aan de hand van schema’s ga je diagnoses stellen van complexe relais schakelingen.
• Je vervangt frequentieregelaars en geeft parameters in.
• Je bent in staat om motoren uit te meten en zelfstandig kablage aanpassingen door te voeren volgens een elektrisch schema. Je kan ook elektrische schema’s aanpassen in Eplan.
• Je kent de werking van automatische systemen en je kan deze zelfstandig opstarten.
• Heb je kennis van PLC sturingen? Dan kunnen PLC diagnoses en het schrijven van kleine programma’s ook deel uitmaken van jouw takenpakket.
