DEME Group in Belgium is seeking a Technical Vessel Manager to oversee the technical health, performance, and profitability of up to three vessels. You will drive long-term maintenance strategies and coordinate with Master and Chief Engineer to ensure reliability.

You will manage budgets, coordinate interventions, and liaise with Engineering and Operations teams to optimize uptime while aligning with DEME's strategic goals. This is a headquarters-based role with regular vessel visits.

Qualifikationen

• This role requires a technical degree or equivalent hands-on maritime experience.
• Proven experience in leading technical teams and managing operations in maritime/engineering.
• Strong technical expertise in marine systems, propulsion, electrical, and hydraulic installations.
• Strategic thinker with ability to develop long-term vision and risk management.
• Analytical mindset to interpret data, reports, and performance metrics for reliability.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with onshore and onboard teams.
• Familiarity with financial processes, procurement, contracts, and project management.
• Willingness to be based at headquarters with regular vessel visits.

Aufgaben

• Own the technical management of assigned vessels, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Challenge execution and processes, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Ensure alignment with DEME's mission, vision, and long-term strategy for vessels.
• Be responsible for profit and loss, optimizing revenue, utilization, and maintenance strategically.
• Define and implement a long-term maintenance strategy with the Master and Chief Engineer.
• Oversee Maintenance Intervention Projects led by the Fleet Intervention Project Manager.
• Act as liaison for Technical Engineering, Fleet Interventions, and Reliability Engineering.
• Oversee and manage the maintenance budget for each vessel.
• Ensure compliance with legislation and safety regulations.
• Visit vessels regularly to maintain alignment with onboard teams.
