A European political organization in Brussels is looking for an Office Assistant to provide administrative support. Responsibilities include managing supplies, assisting with grant reports, and handling visitor reception. Ideal candidates should be proficient in English and possess good organizational skills. As office assistant you will be responsible for:
Assisting with various administrative tasks
Assisting in preparation of the grant report to the European Parliament
Assisting in preparation of the tender documentation
Meeting room management
Office maintenance (contact with various suppliers)
Reception point for visitors
Organising deliveries and shipment
Managing the office supplies stock
Assisting with travel bookings
The assistant will be part of the Administration unit supervised by the Director of Finance, Compliance and Administration.
Indicative starting date: position to be filled in as soon as possible.
Proficiency in the English language (working language of the organisation)
A very good knowledge of French and/or Dutch
Good organisational and coordination skills, including time and priority management
Excellent people skills, ability to work independently and in multi-cultural teams
Ability to take initiative and problem-solving attitude
Good computer skills and digital literacy
Previous work experience in similar positions
Experience in or interest in learning procurement is an asset
Understanding and adhering to Green values such as ecology, feminism, anti-racism and social justice
Limited duration contract of 6 months, with a possibility of prolongation
A full-time contract (38 hours / week) with flexible working hours
