Job summary

WLG is seeking a penetration tester for its offensive security cell in Belgium. The role blends hands-on testing with red and blue team activities during large military exercises and design reviews to prevent weaknesses at the source.

You will test web apps, infrastructure, and layers with a practical, non-template approach, and report findings in executive summaries and detailed remediation plans for engineers and senior leadership.

Qualifications

• More than three years of web application and IT infrastructure penetration testing.
• Knowledge of network security architecture and vulnerability assessment.
• System and network administration on UNIX and Windows.
• Scripting knowledge in Perl, Python, Ruby or a shell.
• Understanding authentication, security protocols, cryptography, malware techniques and defenses.

Responsibilities

• Test web applications, infrastructure and application layers with hands-on tooling and methodology.
• Lead or join red and blue team activity during military exercises.
• Review security designs against policy, and advise projects before decisions harden.
• Brief findings to engineers, boards and senior officers, and write actionable reports.
• Work with accreditation and configuration control bodies so findings turn into fixes.
