Ghent University seeks a post-doctoral assistant in the Department of Public Health and Primary Care to develop an independent research program in nursing science, focusing on professional development, leadership, education and implementation research. You will publish in leading journals and collaborate with national and international partners.

You will contribute to teaching within the Master of Science in Nursing and Midwifery, supervise dissertations, and participate in curriculum

Qualifications

Doctoral degree in health sciences required at the start of the appointment.
Demonstrable research in nursing science with publications in peer-reviewed venues.
Interest in coaching students in Bachelor’s, Master’s and Advanced Master’s programmes.

Responsabilités

Dedicate at least 70% of the appointment to research in nursing science, focusing on professional development, leadership, educational innovation and implementation research across primary, secondary and tertiary care.
Develop and conduct an independent research programme and publish findings in leading journals.
Collaborate with the research group, department, faculty, hospital and international partners to initiate projects and obtain funding.
Contribute to teaching in the Master of Science in Nursing and Midwifery, oversee bridging programmes and Nurse Specialist tracks, and supervise dissertations.
