Septentrio in Leuven is seeking an experienced NPI Purchaser to manage end-to-end purchasing for New Product Introduction projects. You will be the purchasing expert within cross-functional PLC teams, ensuring on-time delivery, lowest total cost of ownership, and a robust supplier base for serial production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field with proven purchasing experience.
• 3–5 years of purchasing experience in industrial/manufacturing settings.
• Experience in NPI or stage-gated product development projects.
• Knowledge of costing, TCO, Incoterms, and risk assessment.
• Experience with SAP/ERP and with JIRA/Confluence or PDM tools.

Responsabilités

• Manage end-to-end purchasing throughout the PLC from supplier selection to production readiness.
• Lead RFIs, RFQs, benchmarking, and supplier evaluations for new product developments.
• Support product teams with cost estimates, sourcing recommendations, and purchasing expertise.
• Ensure deliverables align with milestones and time-to-market objectives.
• Act as primary purchasing contact across functions and suppliers for NPI.
• Monitor supplier performance and manage POs for prototypes, tooling, and pilot production.
