A technology solutions company based in Diegem is seeking a motivated Network/Security Specialist. The role involves delivering security projects, troubleshooting solutions, and advising clients on security matters. Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, or Computer Science, and have strong networking and security knowledge. Fluency in English is necessary, and familiarity with Dutch and/or French is beneficial. The team offers a supportive environment with opportunities for growth.

• Experience with network infrastructure deployment/maintenance is a plus.
• Familiarity with automation tools (Ansible) and scripting (bash/python).

Overview

We’re looking for a motivated Network/Security Specialist with a strong focus on networking to help deliver security projects, including large-scale encryption networks. You’ll be involved in the full lifecycle—designing, testing, deploying, and troubleshooting solutions—while advising clients on security matters. This role requires regular onsite presence at our Diegem office/lab, the ability to work independently, and a strong interest in networking and security. Responsibilities

• Review of network and security capabilities
• Assess and analyse security posture
• Detailed analysis of data flows and processes
• Create Proof-of-Concept environments
• Setup and administration of lab environment
• Day-to-day operation of the lab environment
• Troubleshooting
• Automation of security infrastructure testing
• Automation of Staging / Pre-Provisioning
• Testing and troubleshooting of new equipment
• Validation of operational procedures / manuals
• Roll-out of solutions (Staging / Pre-Provisioning / Deployment)
• Assist, implement and guide migration to new solutions
• Higher level support for migrations and delivered solutions
• Create and maintain operational procedures and manuals
• Report drafting (activity report, test report…)
• Issue tracking and follow-up with vendors and partners
• Assists with move execution, adds and changes to security tools and platforms
• Assists with transitions, implementations, and migrations
• Gathering, analysis and management of requirements (legal/business/technical)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or Computer Science, combined with relevant professional experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Dutch and/or French is considered an asset.
• Must be prepared to work onsite at the office/lab in Diegem for multiple days per week
• Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn
• Knowledge of computer networking and network security
• Some experience with network infrastructure deployment and maintenance is a plus
• Experience with Linux (CLI and network configuration)
• Familiarity with automation tools (such as Ansible) and scripting languages (like bash or python) is an advantage
