Brunel is seeking an experienced F5 Network & Security Engineer for a project in Schaarbeek. You will design, implement, maintain, and optimize F5‑based services, working with technical stakeholders to ensure reliable, secure application delivery across the infrastructure.

You will cover SSL/TLS management, WAF support, APM integration, performance tuning, and lifecycle management while collaborating with the team. Expect 2–3 days on‑site with some remote work, in a multilingual Belgian context.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and managing F5 BIG‑IP solutions.
• Experience with SSL/TLS certificate management and encryption.
• Strong understanding of IP networking in data centers and multi-site environments.
• Familiarity with firewall technologies and network security best practices.

Brunel is currently looking for an experienced F5 Network & Security Engineer for a project in Schaarbeek.

Job Description

As an F5 Network & Security Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing F5‑based services.

You will work closely with technical stakeholders to ensure reliable, secure, and high‑performing application delivery services across the infrastructure.

• Design and implement F5 BIG‑IP solutions for application delivery and traffic management
• Manage virtual servers, pools, nodes, monitors, iRules, SSL profiles, and traffic policies
• Administer SSL/TLS certificates, encryption settings, traffic inspection, and reporting
• Support Web Application Firewall (WAF) implementations and policy management
• Integrate authentication and access management solutions using F5 APM
• Perform performance tuning, capacity planning, and service optimization
• Support incident, problem, and change management activities
• Execute software upgrades, security patching, and lifecycle management
• Troubleshoot connectivity, availability, and application delivery issues
• Create technical documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing

Participation in operational support activities may be required depending on business needs.

You'll work 2–3 days on‑site in Schaarbeek, the remaining days working remotely.

Profile

You have a solid background in enterprise networking and security environments, combined with proven experience designing and managing F5 solutions.

• Advanced experience with F5 BIG‑IP platforms
• Strong knowledge of load balancing and high‑availability architectures
• Hands‑on experience with SSL/TLS, certificate management, and encryption technologies
• Excellent understanding of IP networking within data center and multi‑site environments
• Good knowledge of network security concepts and firewall technologies (Checkpoint and Palo Alto)
• Experience with troubleshooting, performance optimization, and lifecycle management

Fluent in Dutch, French, and English.
